Fun in the Park!

So I go to Muhlenberg college in Allentown, Pennsylvania. It is quite literally a dream to be here. Ever since my brother enrolled back in 2000 I had my mind set on coming here. And now I’m a rising junior! It’s crazy! What I love about Muhlenberg is that it’s a small, cozy campus. Some people might say that the lack of exciting things to do is a turn off. I mean, let’s face it… there’s the Lehigh Valley Mall, a coffee shop named Hava Java, a Rita’s, and a Target. lol BUT, my friends and I discovered back in freshman year that there are two parks in walking distance from the campus! One scenic park (more of a rose garden) and one playground (technically it’s for kids but we’re all kids at heart :)) Here are some memories of one of our park trips from last semester:

This is in the rose garden! I love these beautiful arches with the vines wrapped around them!

This is my friend Jesse and I being silly 🙂

Wishing well. Make a wish! (This is my personal favorite part of the park!)

This is my friend Liz by the fountain. She is such a talented dancer! Just look at that extension!

This is the children’s park! SO fun! If my friends and I are stressed out at work or just need to relax, we will go down and swing. Literally the perfect relaxation activity since we can’t take a nice hot bath 😛

Don’t both of them look like so much fun?! I love reminiscing about this stuff. Especially since I won’t get to see my friend Liz for almost a year (She is going abroad in the opposite semester)!

So if you’re EVER considering coming to Muhlenberg, just know that, no matter what anyone says, there are lots of cool things to do!
